Selene distinguished herself among millions from a young age, becoming the world's #16-ranked World of Warcraft champion. Her e-sports achievements ignited her vision for the metaverse—a domain where individuals can truly be themselves, unburdened by judgements tied to background, ethnicity, or appearance. Robust infrastructure and intelligent bots are essential to actualising this merger of the digital and physical worlds.
In 2017, Selene came across the Bitcoin white paper, realising it was the cornerstone for this convergence. The industry was nascent at the time, with its design maturity lagging, curbing widespread adoption. Working with industry leader Blockstream, she led the design of various digital wallets, token issuance platforms, NFT marketplaces, and impactful products that helped Bitcoin scale user adoption. Under her watchful eye building the design discipline, Blockstream would go from Series A to raising $210 million at a $3.2 billion valuation for a Series B. Around then, Selene witnessed the blossoming of Artificial Intelligence, believing that her ideal world could come to life through the melding of Bitcoin and AI. This led her to deep-dive into Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at MIT. Today, she stands at the nexus of Bitcoin and AI, crafting cutting-edge products.
